Yellow is one of the four colors we stock for this platform: black 498Q0A, cyan 676M9A, magenta 676N0A and yellow 676N1A. HP’s own note on this cartridge is that yellow is used across a wide range of mixed colors as well as in any print with strong warm tones, so consumption can add up quickly depending on the work a school produces. Warm tones and greens draw on yellow alongside cyan or magenta, so it often empties first. With the printhead inside the cartridge, a yellow channel printing unevenly is corrected by the same purchase that refills it.

Is the 130 ml yellow the same ink?

Yes, the same genuine HP yellow for the same machines, in a smaller tank. It is part A24VPA. The 300 ml tank costs less per milliliter; the 130 ml tank is there for schools that would rather order smaller and more often.

Do we need to change all four colors together?

No. Each channel is its own part number and the printer reports each one separately. Many schools simply reorder whichever tank the front panel is warning about.
