Free Use Terms

Effective October 10, 2026 · Version 2026-10 (v2) · Earlier version: v1

These terms cover two kinds of free material that Poster Studio Express (Red Circle Solutions LLC, doing business as Poster Studio Express) publishes at posterstudioexpress.com/graphic-organizers/:

  • Our graphic-organizer sheets (Part A). Each sheet says "Free from Poster Studio Express" at the bottom. Part A covers each sheet itself, whether shown on a web page or printed from that page.
  • The designs in our free graphic-organizer library (Part B). Part B covers each design itself, whether previewed on our pages, downloaded as a file or printed.

They don't cover anything else on our pages unless it's identified here.

Part A. Our graphic-organizer sheets

What you can do: free, and no need to ask

  • Print and copy the sheets for teaching and learning, as many as you need. "Classroom use" means teaching and learning anywhere, including:
    • public and private schools
    • homeschool, libraries and after-school programs
    • tutoring, including tutoring and classes you charge for
    • in person, or in a class or course space online that's open only to the teachers, students and families taking part
    • A public download site or a resource marketplace doesn't count just because it needs an account.
  • Print them at any size, including poster size, on your own printer or your school's poster maker. A print shop may print them for you and charge its normal printing fee.
  • Write on them, fill them in, display them, and adapt them for your teaching, for example by changing a label, translating them or resizing a box.
  • Share them:
    • with other teachers, and with students and their families
    • publicly, as a picture of a sheet, with credit to Poster Studio Express, for example on Pinterest or social media
    • Students may share their own completed work.

What isn't allowed

  • Selling the sheets as printed or downloadable resources, or putting them in a resource product that's sold, such as a printables shop, workbook, curriculum package or paid subscription. Charging for your own teaching or tutoring isn't selling the sheet.
  • Hosting the sheet as a file for download on a public website or resource marketplace. Link to our page instead.
  • Hiding where a sheet came from. Keep the "Free from Poster Studio Express" credit where you reasonably can. If adapting or reformatting a sheet means moving it, put an equivalent credit elsewhere on the copy, and mark big changes so they aren't mistaken for our original. Don't present the sheets as your own work, or suggest that we endorse you, your school or your product.

Rights and scope

We claim only the rights we actually hold in original, protectable parts of these sheets. To the extent we hold copyright, we give you the permissions above, on the conditions above.

These terms don't restrict anything that copyright law leaves free, including:

  • the teaching methods behind the sheets
  • the standard forms and their usual labels
  • material you create yourself
  • any use the law allows without permission

The Frayer model, the KWL chart, the Venn diagram, story maps and plot diagrams are well-known teaching tools that no one owns. You don't need our permission to make your own.

As is

These free sheets are provided as they are. We don't promise that a sheet suits every student, curriculum or accessibility need, so please review it before you use it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits rights that the law doesn't allow to be excluded or limited.

Part B. The free library designs

Who can download them

The designs are free for educators: teachers, school and district staff, and other adults who teach. To download, you sign up with your name, email address, job title and school (or, if yours isn't listed, your organization); our Privacy notice explains how we use them. Students can't sign up, but their teachers can share designs with them.

What you can do: free for teaching

  • Print the designs at any size, including poster size, on your own printer or your school's poster maker. A print shop may print them for you and charge its normal printing fee.
  • Write and draw on them, fill them in, display them and adapt them for your teaching.
  • Share them with your students, their families and your colleagues, printed or as files, including in a class or course space online that's open only to the teachers, students and families taking part. Students may share their own completed work.
  • Use a design inside original teaching materials you create, including materials you sell. Our request not to sell the designs doesn't apply to those materials. Just changing a design's file format, or putting it in a PDF, doesn't make it original teaching material.

What we ask in return

Please don't:

  • sell the designs on their own or in collections, as files or printed, except that a print shop may charge its normal fee to print copies for you.
  • post the design files for public download, for example on a website, a resource marketplace (even one that needs an account), or a stock, clip-art, template or print-on-demand site. For public sharing, please link to our library instead. Sharing with your students, their families and your colleagues, and in the closed class or course spaces described above, is welcome, and so is the use in your own teaching materials described above.
  • use a design in a logo or trademark.
  • present the designs as your own work, or suggest that we endorse you, your school or your product.

Please keep the line at the bottom of each design, which says where it came from and how it was made, where you reasonably can. If you adapt or reformat a design, you may move that information elsewhere on your version; please mark big changes so they aren't mistaken for our original.

We may limit or end future downloads for anyone who disregards these requests. That doesn't take back anything you can already do with copies you have.

About the designs

The designs were made with AI image tools. Before publishing each design, we screened it with automated AI tools for text, logos and look-alike characters. Not every design has been checked by a person, and these checks can miss things, so they don't guarantee that a design is free of other people's rights. We don't claim copyright in the artwork, and similar images may exist elsewhere.

If a design worries you

If a design looks like someone else's work, a brand or character, or a real person, tell us at concerns@posterstudioexpress.com. We may update a design or stop offering it. If we withdraw a design because of a concern, we may post a notice in the library that explains the concern and asks people to stop sharing it. That request doesn't take back anything you can already do with your copy, and it doesn't affect anyone else's rights.

As is

These free designs are provided as they are. We don't promise that a design suits every student, curriculum or accessibility need, so please review it before you use it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits rights that the law doesn't allow to be excluded or limited.

Agreeing to Part B

By downloading a design, you agree to Part B and to the sections below that apply to all these terms. The requests in "What we ask in return" are requests, not legally binding promises. Downloading doesn't commit your school or district to anything.

How these terms fit with our other terms

Where we hold copyright in the materials these terms cover, these Free Use Terms are the written permission our Terms of Use and Copyright Policy refer to. Part B states that we claim no copyright in the library designs, and what we ask of people who use them. For the materials they cover, these terms control over anything inconsistent in those documents.

You don't need to accept our website Terms of Use to print, sign up for, download or use these free materials, and no arbitration, forum, indemnity or waiver-of-governmental-immunity provision in those Terms of Use applies to those activities.

Changes

We may update these terms. A later version won't narrow the permissions, or add obligations, for sheets or designs you got under an earlier version: you may keep printing, copying, adapting and sharing them as that version allowed. We may still stop offering a design and ask people to stop sharing it, as Part B describes; that request doesn't change what an earlier version allowed. Each version is dated, and we keep earlier versions available.
